Tips
Ensure pipe end is cut square, debur and chamfer as required
To ensure correct assembly of joint, mark pipe at a distance equal to the socket depth
Dry assemble to check pipe end fits inside socket (i.e. tight fitting)
Clean pipe end and inside of socket using a clean cloth freshly moistened with priming fluid
Apply solvent cement to cover both surfaces in full (i.e. pipe end and inside socket)
Immediately assemble, pushing pipe home to the full depth of pipe socket
Hold bonded joint in position for at least 30 seconds
Do not disturb for 5 minutes
Wait the recommended curing time before pressure testing (i.e. HR Type P Solvent Cement recommends 24 hours before pressure testing)
